How to use the rate schedule: A minimum monthly bill is $18.00 and includes up to 2,000 gallons. For each additional thousand gallons used between 2,001-10,000 gallons the rate is $6.00 per 1,000 gallons. Example: If you used 5,000 gallons of water you would multiply 3,000 gallons used by $6.00 and add $18.00 for the first 2,000 gallons used. Then add the two figures together for your monthly water bill, in this case the total being $36.00. |
